Two former Maersk Supply Service ships, Maersk Forwarder and Maersk Finder, have been re-build into floating power stations at Sedef Shipyard in Tuzlat. The ships are now named Nezih Bey (which you can see in the video benaeath) and Koray Bey

The ships new owner is Karadeniz Powership, which has a fleet of floating power stations in various sizes.

The floating power station collect power from electrical grids in areas where the supply of power sources has not been able to keep up with demand, but also in areas affected by natural disasters and where the existing power plants have been destroyed or are out of service.

Besides Maersk Forwarder and Maersk Finder, Karadeniz Powership has also purchased the formerly danish offshore ships Maersk Puncher and Maersk Provider.

When Maersk Supply Service sold the ships, no details were given regarding the future of the ships, exept that they would no longer function as supply ships.
