Innovation camps to raise pride
Over the course of the next few months, innovation camps will be held for young adults who are enrolled in technical vocational education programs. With support from the Nordea-fund, companies are cooperating with vocational schools and students to strengthen the pride in professional competence jobs by hosting three ’innovation camps’.
"At the innovation camps, students will get the opportunity to challenge themselves on a high academic level and cooperate across several technical programs. This will happen through practical challenges inspired by everyday life in the local business community. All of this will help bring the business community and schools closer together and raise pride in jobs that require professional competence from both students and teachers in vocational education, "says Vice President of Danske Maritime, Cecilie Lykkegaard.
Students from different educational programs will work together doing challenges made by local companies and educational institutions, as well as the organisations behind the innovation camps Danske Maritime and National Center of Pedagogy, NCE, which is a part of Copenhagen Vocational College.
The first camp takes place from November 19-21 in North Jutland at EUC Nord, where TECH College Aalborg also participates. The next one will be held on Funen at Svendborg Business School where Syddansk Business School will attend, and the third will be held at ZBC in Slagelse. ES Nord who has a boat builder educational program is also behind the three innovation camps.
The cooperation with the business’ involved is due to the companies Automation Lab, FAYARD, Inrotech, Karstensens Shipyard, MAN Energy Solution, Norisol, Orskov Yard, Alfa Laval, Assens Shipyard and VMS Group.
