Coaster aground in Lillebælt
SHORT NEWS: The coaster Darwin, which went aground outside of Årø late afternoon last Saturday, is still stuck in the same location. No attempt has been made to pull the coaster, which has a tonnage of 1.37 DWT, free of ground.
The coaster was heading from Hamburg to Kolding, when it went aground in the narrow waters that have caused multiple ships to go aground in the past.
The Danish Defense has issued a sailing-ban until the ships owner and insurance company give in a rescue plan that the Danish authorities can approve of.
No signs indicate that the coaster has led to any form of pollution
