Vestas employee hit in the head

A 37-year-old woman was hit by a collapsed turbine on MHI Vestas Offshore Wind in Nakskov on Thursday evening. The woman was flown to Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. Her condition is still critical on Friday morning.

The accident happened around 21:30 on Thursday evening. According to police officers at the South Sealand and Lolland-Falster Police, the woman was hit by a turbine that broke down. A machine part from the turbine hit the woman in the head, TV2/st informed.

The Labor Inspectorate arrived at the factory immediately after the accident and is now investigating the incident, MHI Vestas announced in a press release.
