Foundations coming to Thyborøn
Aarsleff has now completed the construction of 4 foundations for the wind farm in Nissum Bredning. The foundations are now on their way to Thyborøn aboard the Aarsleff 132 barge. The 28 MW large pilot project will enable testing of new technologies
In January, Aarsleff won the contract for the construction and installation of the foundations of the project, owned by I/S Nissum Bredning Vind, which in February 2016 won the Energy Agency's offer in the special test scheme for new offshore wind technology.
"This type of test facility is the first in Denmark and can help reduce the cost of establishing and operating future offshore wind turbines. The project contains important experimental elements for future seawater technology, and therefore also helps maintain Denmark's leading position in the development and testing of seawater technology," the Energy Authority said.
4 Siemens 7MW turbines must be erected on the foundations along with a new transformer type.
Behind Nissum Bredning Vind is Nissum Bredning Vindmøllelaug and Jysk Energi.
