New system ensures Esvagt's efficiency
All Esvagt’s ships have now implemented the Sertica system. With the implementation of Sertica throughout the fleet, the shipping company now has the opportunity to streamline both procurement and maintenance. This will have a beneficial effect on quality, uptime and cost level.
"We get a more consistent product, where we use experiences and competences better all over the fleet. At the same time, we will strengthen our maintenance where we will probably be able to move more tasks from 'repair' to 'service'. We expect that it will mean increased reliability and a reduction in maintenance costs," says Kristian Ole Jakobsen, Chief Operating Officer in Esvagt.
Since February 2016, Sertica has been implemented in purchases in the fleet of Esvagt, which is based in Esbjerg, and the experience is good. The fleet consists of more than 40 modern offshore vessels, and the company has approximately 900 employees on- and offshore.
"We have improved traceability in deliveries, which has raised the quality. We have also been able to document with Sertica, which reduces the number of errors. At the same time, it has eliminated a lot of time, which was previously used for administration, and which we today can use to enter better commercial agreements," says Carsten Larsen, Supply Chain Manager.
