The cruise ship M/S Brahe owned by the Finnish travel company Saimaa Travel, has arrived in Faaborg. From next year, it will be possible to go on five day cruises in Denmark, Sweden and Germany. Until then, Nordic Cruise Line offers one day trips with M/S Brahe and the first will take place on September 20th.

"The cruise market will continue to increase until 2025, and we are very focused on guests from Germany" says Jan Copper, founder of Nordic Cruise Line.

The plan is that 80 percent of the cruises will call at Faaborg, which will increase the amount of tourists in Faaborg, and in turn that will create more jobs.

"We need to hire additional people. Somewhere between 30 and 40 in total and we need officers, sailors and engineers as well as staff for the restaurant, bar and cleaning" says Jan Copper.
Until the cruises start next year, you can go on shorter trips with M/S Brahe, and you can rent the ferry for excursions, courses or parties, either in port or at sea.
