Monjasa opens new office in Vietnam

13-03-2019 12:00:00

Following 11 years of presence in Singapore, Danish bunker fuels supplier Monjasa now expands further across Southeast Asia, and opens a new office in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam is in the midst of an economic upturn sending ripple effects to the shipping industry as well.

“We already service a lot of local and international shipowners in the area, so a new office in Vietnam is the natural next step for us”, says Morten Jacobsen, general manager in the Singapore office.

“In Vietnam, personal relations are crucial when doing business, and that is exactly how we want to do business. It provides us with the opportunity of meeting more customers face-to-face, understand their business and build further on our relations”, Jacobsen says-

“In the current market, we see quality management and compliance as a prerequisite to work in bunkering and we bring in an operating model backed by ISO standards and vetting of our suppliers. In combination with profound knowledge of the culture, business and language, we are excited to open this new chapter”, Jacobsen adds.

The new Vietnam office will be headed by chief representative Jimmy Nguyen, who has been relocated from the Singapore office.
