The Port of Esbjerg will be getting a new director on April 1 2019, when 45-year-old Dennis Jul Pedersen will be appointed Port Director. Dennis Jul Pedersen takes over the position as Port Director because current Port Director Ole Ingrisch is leaving the port towards the end of February after 16 years, in order to retire.

”I am very pleased to welcome Dennis Jul Pedersen as Port Director of the Port of Esbjerg. Dennis has a strong profile in business development, and has worked within the three strategic areas that the Port of Esbjerg focuses on: Shipping, wind, and oil/gas. At the same time, I would to use this opportunity to thank Ole Ingrisch for his strategic instinct, consistent executing, and strong commitment that has brought the Port of Esbjerg to the forefront of ports in Northern Europe, "says Flemming N. Enevoldsen, chairman of the Port of Esbjerg’s Board.

Dennis Jul Pedersen comes from the position of CEO at NSG Wind, where he was in charge of the offshore concern NorSea Group’s activities in the offshore wind turbine industry.
Dennis Jul Pedersen has held other leading positions at home and abroad in both offshore companies and maritime companies, such as General Manager of the Singapore based Milaha Offshore Service, as well as in the companies Gulf Marine Services, Fugro-Geoteam, Siem Offshore and Maersk Oil.

Dennis Jul Pedersen has an educational background as ship officer and lieutenant in the Royal Danish Navy and later on he did an MBA in Oil & Gas. After living abroad for a number of years, Dennis Jul Pedersen now resides in Esbjerg with his family.
