18-05-2018 10:00:00

It is going to take new knowledge, inspiration and an innovative approach. Therefore the wind, oil and gas industry wants to strenghten their relations with universities. increased cooperation with the smartest people in the country is neccesary if the Danish offshore industry is going to be head of new innovation.

”We have to link our knowledge institutes with the industry. The companies need to do more research, and there has to be more of the companies’ agenda in the universities laboratories’. This will benefit both the industry and the universities. Says CEO of Offshoreenergy.dk, Glenda Napier.

The increased cooperation was launched at Offshoreenergy.dk’s annual meeting in the Danish city Horsens, where approximately 200 representatives of the offshore industry and several universities were gathered. Access to practical issues will be a great strength for universities.

”Companies have far more relevant data than we could ever hope for in the academic world. We need to cooperate with the industry. That is where we will find the best material to work with, "says Lars Stemmerik, professor, University of Copenhagen.
