Disruption program is open for everyone
Danish shipping organization Danske Rederier will open the next edition of Maritime Disruptors Academy for all departments of Det Blå Danmark, when the event returns again this coming fall. 40 participants from shipping companies and relevant studies attended the first edition of the academy program of its kind back in January, which was held in collaboration with Dare Disrupt, who were extremely satisfied with the project.
All of 92 percent of the attendee’s recommended the program, which revolved around technologies such as block chain, artificial intelligence and Internet- of- Things, and this is a primary reason to why the course will be held again this fall.
"We received very good feedback from the first academy, where the many attendees were really happy to gain insight into a variety of technological changes, which will affect Denmark’s maritime field. Therefore, we are going to repeat the success by hosting two programs in the fall.
Another thing we learned was that this type of change concerns the entire cluster and therefore we open up the course to other people involved in the maritime sector, so we can have mutual joy across our industry, "says, Asbjørn Overgaard Christensen, Head of Digitalization and Innovation in Danske Rederier.
Two runs of the program will be held in the months of August-September and in October- November. The programs will again be hosted in collaboration with Dare Disrupt. The two times of two days will include lectures and insight into a number of new technological developments, which are in the midst of being produced.
The entire thought process behind exponential growth and its possible consequences for the maritime industry will also be a topic of discussion, Danske Rederier informs.
