Lack of legal framework for unmanned ship
Leaders in the maritime industry have expressed concern about the problem of who should be held responsible if an unmanned ship is involved in an accident due to cyber-attacks. The rules are simply not geared for the possibilities of the future.
Out of 220 participating leaders in the maritime industry, almost two thirds voiced uncertainty about these issues. This was shown in a study by the international law firm Clyde & Co., while 59 percent said there are no clear rules for the area.
