Bimco gets Danish communications director

31-10-2017 10:00:00

Bimco has appointed Rasmus Nord Jørgensen as new communications director, to develop a communication strategy for the organization and to ensure a more visible space in the media image.

Rasmus Nord Jørgensen is educated from the Media and Journalist High School in Aarhus and comes from a position in A.P. Møller - Maersk's international communications department, where he was responsible for Latin America and Africa. Earlier, he has worked for Reuters.

"It is an important appointment that reflects our desire to increase Bimco's communication activities to a significant extent. It is vital that our members, who are spread around in 120 countries around the world are fully aware of the many services we offer," said Angus Frew, Bimco's Secretary General, who also wants Bimco to reach a wider audience with its analyzes and perspectives.

"Rasmus comes with a lot of specialist knowledge and knows the maritime world from his time in the Maersk group. We are looking forward to welcoming him to the team," says Angus Frew.
Rasmus Nord Jørgensen starts in his new job on November 1.
