Nordsee One two turbines from completion

01-09-2017 10:00:00

The turbine installation phase of the 332 MW Nordsee One wind turbine project in the German part of the North Sea is approaching completion as 52 of 54 Senvion 6.2 MW turbines are in place. This is stated by Reetec, one of the companies involved in the project.

On behalf of Senvion, SSC Wind and Reetec install the 54 turbines on the Nordsee One wind farm, located about 40 kilometers from the island of Juist. The first Senvion 6.2M126 turbine was installed by MPI Offshore's jack-up MPI Enterprise in early March.

The turbines are gradually transported from Bremerhaven via Eemshaven to the installation site, which has water depths between 26 and 29 meters. The installation and commissioning of all 54 wind turbines is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
