Best shipping company announced today

16-05-2017 15:06:55

It will be at the Danish Shipowners' Association’s premises when the final in the battle to manage the most successful shipping company is decided today. If anyone is in doubt, it is the final of the Blue Denmark’s board game for students in the 8th and 9th grade ...

The Danish Shipowners’ Association has had great success with the board game "Seven Seas", played by 2,300 students in 43 classes across the country. The game will inform students about the many educational and career opportunities that the maritime industry holds.

20 classes have qualified for the first final in the newly developed game, where students will collaborate to manage a modern worldwide shipping company.

"We are looking forward to having a really good day in the company of a lot of happy students. The game has generally exceeded all our expectations. There has been an overwhelming interest in having us visit so we already have long waiting lists for the coming season starting in September. The game is so spacious that it embraces all students in the class. The students step into character and show new sides of themselves, and it contributes to collaboration between the students, which is unique," says Anne Bay Riisager, campaign leader in World Careers.

The finale can be followed live on The Blue Denmark's Facebook page from 11.00.
