Maersk Drilling hires SubC for inspections

04-01-2017 12:00:00

The Danish specialist in offshore underwater inspections SubC Partner, has signed a three-year framework agreement with Maersk Drilling to conduct offshore ROV inspections of Maersk's drilling rigs worldwide.

SubC Partner has developed special solutions that make it possible to inspect the rigs at sea, thus saving the shipyard stay. The new agreement involves inspections of both semi-submersible rigs as well as drill ships.

Offshore Energy Today has unsuccessfully tried to obtain further details about the contract at SubC Partner.

On Monday, Maersk Drilling announced that it has signed a contract with Repsol Columbia regarding drilling in the Caribbean. The work is expected to start in Q2 2017 and the contract has a value of $ 12 million.
